Toshiba DVD+RW (sd-r6252) Fails To Read Multiple Sessions and/or Recognize DVD+R Media

Issue 1:
The (ACI) Toshiba DVD+RW (SD-R6252) drive is unable to read multi-session DVD+R media. The drive will only read the first session on the DVD+R.
Issue 2:
Intermittently the drive will fail to read DVD+R media (rated at 1-2.4x) displaying "Please insert blank media" message. This has been tested with Verbatim, Princo, TDK, and Sony media.
scope
Compaq nx9010, Compaq nx7010, and Compaq nx9110 using the Toshiba DVD+RW (sd-r6252) drive.
resolution
Verify the drive being used is the Toshiba DVD+RW (sd-r6252).
1) Click [Start], [Control Panel]
2) Double Click the [System] Icon
3) Click the [Hardware] Tab
4) Click the [Device Manager] Button
5) Click the [(+) next to DVD/CD-ROM Drives]
6) Verify the drive listed is the [Toshiba DVD+RW (sd-r6252)]
Issue 1:
If the drive is as noted above download and install Windows XP Service Pack 2 (
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/default.mspx) to correct this issue.
[NOTE:] SP2 is not needed if issue #1 does not exist.
Issue 2:
If the drive is as noted above, contact HP Technical Support and request the BETA firmware version 1A13.
An upgraded firmware is under process, and will be available on the web at a later date. This document will be updated when the firmware is available for download.

Installation
How To Use
Copy the SoftPaq .EXE file to a directory on your hard disk.
Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
After the firmware upgrade is complete, restart the notebook.

Je n'avais jamais utilisé le graveur en DVD avant mars 2005, j'ai envoyé mon ordi à Hp pour réparation et je leur ai indiqué ce problème, ils m'ont dit l'avoir vérifié et réparé.
Lorsque l'ordi est revenu, j'ai essayé de nouveau cela ne fonctionnaît pas.
Ils m'ont avisé au téléphone que ma guarantie était terminé et impossible de faire réparer sans débourser.
Je ne sais pas si le graveur fonctionne car les dvd que j'essaie de lire ont été gravé par mon ordi.
Essai = avec Kodak DVD+R et DVD-R de Mitsumi
Je suis désolée de ne pouvoir répondre plus car je maîtrise pas très bien ces aspects de gravure et lecture.

PS Sur d'autres FORUM j'ai lu qu'il y a d'autres utilisateurs qui ont les mêmes problèmes sans solution.
